Lemon Sugar Scrub

I can not express the amount of love I have for this scrub. It smells like a summer day filled with lemons and berries. I have been searching far and wide for a good recipe. I came across a pin on Pinterest and tried it out. (HERE.) This is what my recipe is based off of, but I changed up the ingridients to what helped me.

I took out the extracts she used and added essential oils. (I get mine from Native American Nutritionals, in my opinion, their oils are not as pricey, yet they still posses great quality.)

I do not recommend using a die to color it, they are full of chemicals and possess no benefits for your health. Now, enjoy making this and the wonderful smells it will create.

What you will need:
   *this recipe makes 2 cups
  • Essential Oils (take a look at this Essential oil chart for the many benefits.)
  • Organic coconut oil
  • Sugar
  • Glass jar (some oils, like lemon, can soak the chemicals from plastic, glass is a must.)
  • Measuring cups (1 cup, 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup)
  • Mixing bowl (preferably glass)
  • knife to mix
                                                                 Visual:

(you do not need the measuring spoons)

Directions:
  1.  Mix 1 cup organic coconut oil (melted) inAnto the mixing bowl.
  2.   Add 1  1/2 cup Sugar into the bowl.
  3.   Drop 5-10 drops of each of your oils into the sugar and coconut oil and mix it all together. (pictured to the right)
  4. When it is all mixed, the sugar and coconut oil not separated, you can place the finished product into your glass jar. (below)

Notes:
The oils I used were: Lemon, Tea tree oil, Skin Care, Red Mandarin, and Soothing Relief

...and you are finished! It only takes a few minutes and lasts for months! Have fun and enjoy!! This is my first post, so please excuse the beginners blog, I am trying my best. x x
